“Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation, for through him God created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth. He made the things we can see and the things we can’t see—such as thrones, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities in the unseen world. Everything was created through him and for him.” Colossians 1:15-16
We see our world falling apart and we sometimes feel hopeless. I feel at times that we are fighting the same battle that the disciples fought as they started a new work in the book of Acts. We need to remember that the early disciples as they started the early church did not have it easy. They were not men of higher education. They were mostly fishermen. They had no financial backing. They had no social standing.
Yet, in the space of about thirty years, they turned the world upside down. They started a movement that numbers in the billions today. How in the world could these men and women, who were nothing, do this mighty thing? They knew that Christ is supreme. They looked to the one that created everything. The one that has authority over everything. In their life, they showed that they believed that Christ is supreme. Do you believe that Christ is supreme? If you do, you can turn the world upside down for God.
