Our Command

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” Acts 1:8

In verse 4 of this chapter Jesus tells His disciples not to leave Jerusalem until they have the power to carry out this command that Jesus gave them. He commanded the disciples to go into all the world and tells others about Jesus. One of our problems in the church today is that we have been waiting too long for the power to go out into the world and take territory for God. We must stop waiting because the power is here it has been here since the Holy Spirit fell on the disciples in the upper room many years ago. If we want this power in our lives, all we have to do is ask.

Jesus tells us “you can pray for anything, and if you believe that you’ve received it, it will be yours.” (Mark 11:24) Satan does not want you to have this power. He wants you to stay in your comfort zone and not move forward. Today God is telling us that time is short, we must tell others about the abundant life they can have. The life that walking with Jesus Christ can provide.

Today, ask God for this power and move forward for God.
