Be Still

“He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Quiet be still!” Then the wind died down and it was completely calm. He said to the disciples, “Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?” (Mark
4:39-40)

Here we have the disciples that had seen Jesus do many miracles. They had seen Him heal the sick, raise the dead and give sight to the blind.

Then a storm came up and they were afraid. That is just like us today.

We see God working in our lives and then disaster happens and we go all to pieces.

We can’t sleep for worrying about what is going to happen.

We worry about things that we have prayed about that is not happening as fast as we think it should.

Jesus tells us “Quiet, be still” I am in controls of it all. If I can calm the storms in nature, how much more can I do for you. All you have to do is take your eyes off the storm and look at me and you will have peace. The peace that passes all understanding.

“They were terrified and asked each other, ‘Who is this? Even the wind and the waves obey Him.” (Mark 4:41)

This is the one that created all and loves us with an unending love. That is who Jesus is.
